Shellbark or Shagbark and how do you tell?
This tree is located on Charles Place in Binghamton - a fair (not great) place to see birds on the river as well.

Through time, I have fought with this and never narrowed it down. We have many Black Walnut trees so I know them. Butternut is another mystery of mine.
